The Escape

Escaping from his country was not an option for Abdallah, it was a must after all the terrifying moments he suffered since his decision to play a part in the Syrian revolution. He did not want to leave Syria, but after the Clock Massacre that happened in Homos city in April 2011 which led to the killing of many people, he did not have any other choice but to leave. Abdallah, who preferred not to mention his full name, traveled to two countries before coming to the U.S. and applying for asylum. In this audio interview, we will walk with Abdallah on his escape journey step by step as if we were with him in it. In this audio story, We will relive his fear, his sadness, his hope, and his joy.
